The reference to the M4A1 assault rifle also led the fandom to add a military theme to the lore and fanart of this game, and the team was eventually dubbed "the A-Team" with M4 as the leader of the squad. Then (since most Pokemon don't have opposable thumbs to fire a gun) that development led to a large amount of the fanart for TPP Emerald being of the Pokemon in human forms.
