I think I just can't give him the benefit of the doubt. Too often, he tries to hide behind a verbal friendship to participate in actions that are anything but those of a friend. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't trust him. It pains me to say it, but I always feel like I have to watch my back in any conversation with him. I think he is so fiercely competitive in any situation - ESPECIALLY regular conversations - that he sees all board scenarios as Us vs. Them. What's crazy is that, if he saw this, he would argue this point. Fiercely. Because he is so goddamned competitive. It's wild. If there was ever a forest for which someone could not see the trees, it would be the Board 8 forest that Corrik so often finds himself wandering lost and with few friends. Ultimately, I think there is a certain amount of intellectual dishonesty he uses in a way similar to Ulti. When people say that Ulti uses friendship and forgiveness as a weapon, I have to say that Corrik kind of does the same. Not for the same end - not intentionally.
