That is to say, 99% of your upgrades/star cards (with the exception of a few weapon mods and a couple of crates you get for completing challenges) come from crates you spend credits on, and not from actually just playing the game. And it would take you a ridiculous amount of time to get the same amount of crates that a person who just spent even $20 would get.
