That movie was cool, I never understood the hate.

-Family murdered scene
-Blowtorch (ice popsicle) scene
-Guitar Assassin
-Russian
-Making the son hold a bomb lol
-Boss's wife is a milf
-Making the boss kill his best friend and wife then killing his remaining son then killing him slowly lolol

Some of those things listed are problems with the film.

- While lifted directly from the comics, the popsicle scene feels like a cop out because it's a stand-in for the kind of physical torture he's known for.

- And while it was cool for him to hand Howard Saint's son a bomb and trick Howard into killing his own best friend, it was problematic because it made his revenge on them passive. The son kicked him in the face and the friend blew him up. In a film about revenge, you'd expect him to get back at the two men who defeated him in direct conflict. Instead, he passively hands the trapped son a bomb and he lets a third party take out the best friend.
