it's dry food. he's used to that though. he usually won't eat wet good. or at least he doesn't finish it. so it's a waste. he just licks until all the juices are gone and leaves the rest to dry out. I have some cans but I haven't used them in a while. they are still good for about another year.

Is he used to this brand of food too?

With all his teeth gone you probably would benefit from saucing his food to help him eat

Eh I've seen more than a few toothless animals handle dry food. But moistening it usually helped.
