well that's not a very good thing, regardless.

take some dry food, and add a little water or milk to them so they soften up a bit and see if he'll eat that.

otherwise, wet food would be the way to go. in your case, give him only a quarter of a can or half, for breakfast and dinner. and just save the rest in the fridge for next time. even if he doesn't eat all of it at once, that's fine.

i'd give me cat a whole can at once and he'd eat it periodically throughout the day. they aren't like us who eat several big meals a day, they just eat whenever.

now do that when its gotten soggy with milk. it's easy, right?
