We've gone over this before when studies have been posted about fake news, but there is not a single accepted definition of what that term even means. And since it's a pop-culture term, the colloquial definition definitely matters.

In terms of completely fabricated news -- like conspiracy-type things or total fiction -- I would agree that those are mostly right-leaning.

In terms of deliberately slanted and misleading coverage to give a biased view -- which is also how many people use the term 'fake news' -- those are more left-leaning.

We have data to show this based on the historically negative coverage of Trump that goes well beyond even the lowest point of his disapproval ratings.
