The music is mediocre and the level of quality for the environments (both in aesthetics and gameplay) is embarrassing for a game released in 2017, but the cast and protagonist are up there for the best ever and the gameplay is a blast once you figure it out. This is probably sacrilege but pretty much all the Mario 2-D platformers give me about the same amount of enjoyment. It's not a genre I care for so they're just...okay.
