Haha.. damn. I don't know why companies feel the need to go so radically different from the source material. Even if they never finished the cliffhanger (or did they via comics? Can't remember). I don't know why they couldn't have just simply done a brand new series or even rebooted the original using a similar animation style. Making it live action/hybrid is NOT something any fan of the original series would have wanted or been excited for.
I read an insider quote a while back that literally everyone who worked there knew it was going to be hot garbage, except the company CEO who was basically letting his kid control the show's story.
