No I knew that most states aren't special elections (particularly Arizona) When you say "aren't special elections", do you just mean for Senate? Because Arizona does have special elections for House of Representatives. Tropicalwood posted... pretty much every non-special election state has the seat go during the next election for that office. http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/vacancies-in-the-united-states-senate.aspx 36 states appoint a temporary person and the seat goes up at the next general election, regardless of whether that seat is up or not. --- ...
