A 9 year old just being able to find a gun in his parents' bedroom is a batshit insane situation. You can't just allow people to keep loaded guns lying around especially when you have kids. It's extraordinarily irresponsible. Not sure exactly how much regulation is necessary, but some regulation is necessary. Guns may be a constitutional right but they aren't popsicles.
