| InfestedAdam 04/10/18 4:29:24 PM #18: | I chose giving the money to those in Africa as I feel it is more possible to reduce the number of stray pets than fixing the issues in Africa. Giving money to both are just bandage treatments and bigger reform must be done for long term affects. I did a quick check on Google and seems most of the blame for stray pets is on the owners for any number of reasons. Lost the pets, pets weren't neutered, owners losing interest, etc. Perhaps people need to be more realistic about the responsibility of owning a pet and not purchase a puppy or kitten on a whim just because their children want one. Speaking of which, could reducing the number of licensed breeder help in anyway along with incentives to adopt pets instead of buying from a breeder? I know some folks sees pets as just commodity and not family but this is a life that you are bringing into your home and one that will depend on you.
