No, it is. I own a fucking Switch.

Not that many people got Wii Us, so wanting to port games over to fill out the Switch library is a valid decision. A decision that is probably appreciated by Switch owners who skipped the Wii U.


This is a stupid argument. As if both previous Wii U owners and Switch only owners would not be happy if new games were made.

Also, I don't think porting a game over to the Switch is a sign of Nintendo deliberately refraining from making new titles. Game development takes time and ports are relatively fast, easy, and cheap means of filling the gaps between new titles.


I get the business reasons for doing it, but that doesn't mean this is good for consumers. Even a lot of the newer games are extremely out of date Steam ports of games made years and years ago. SNES never ported over NES games so hard. Neither did N64 or even GameCube. If they take time, then get started earlier.
