The first time you watch A New Hope and Obi-Wan mentions stuff like the Clone Wars or meeting Anakin, there's an allure of mystery and intrigue about the past. Then you watch the prequels and those vague references all stop mattering because now you know literally everything he mentions is either a lie, or was generally terrible.
