For anyone curious, I finished Part 1 and am into the Interlude

I'm not sure what to make of my feelings so far. Definitely good, but it really does have this feeling of "uneeded retread". But I don't want to say no to more Fata Morgana, so it's complicated. I really don't know where this goes from here. Or rather, I DO know where this goes from here and I'm unsure how the VN will make it interesting. Part 1 covers up to Jacopo's revolution and him killing Branier. Morgana's time at the brothel, while already told in the first game, still at least had enough holes and covered enough time that more elaboration could be done. But from here? Jacopo's story of becoming the Lord could be interesting, but I don't know how telling Morgana's story again for like the fourth(?) time could be fun. And one of the preview images on the steam page shows her talking to Mell so it's definitely coming up again.

Jacopo and Morgana's almost-romantic-relationship is still pretty weird, if I have to be honest.

Ceren's also weird. It's this thing that pops up prequels, where you have this important character show up but somehow isn't mentioned in the future. And she has a big enough impact on Jacopo and Morgana that one of them would have brought her up, I think. But that's just something you have to deal with, otherwise you'd end up with nothing new at all here.
