Because they love to use the slippery slope fallacy. Even the tiniest and most innocent common sense regulations are clearly just the start of the govments grand plot to take all their guns!

Ah yes because this government hasn't passed the patriot act, or started a war on drugs and there's no mass incarceration.

This government has proven at every turn they'll take a mile if you give an inch and any citizen worth his salt should be fighting tooth and nail against giving up anything.

Anyone pro gun control because it makes people safer should be in full support of living like bubble boy in fortified homes with no outside contact with only special government trained safety monitors going around to check on and feed people.

Gun control is a war on liberty preying on people's irrational fears.

Yeah daily mass shootings directly caused by weapon availability = irrational fear.

Only developed country where this happens = irrational fear.

Making idiotic excuses while allowing shootings to happen to innocents is downright evil and selfish and we see it daily.

'Daily mass shootings?'

If you think they're daily, it's an irrational fear.
