Its not selfish or easy and anyone who says it is doesnt get it. It is selfish though... It's not easy at all, but it is selfish. Sure, they are putting an end to their personal suffering, but by doing so they are making anyone close to them suffer as well. In some cases this could lead to friends and family to become depressed, which can cause them to attempt or commit suicide in the future too.
