Topic	Worst JRPG of all time: Xenogears vs Chrono Cross

Taken on its own merits alone, Cross is pretty good (although the fact that the character roster is extremely wide and shallow detracts from it imo). The problem is when held up to Trigger it is inferior in every possible way. However, not being as good a Chronotrigger is something ALMOST ALL JRPGS are guilty of. Not fair to damn Cross on that metric. Being worse than a 10/10 isn't the end of the world. I'd rate Cross a 7/10 (meaning well above average) for both its story and its creativity.
