I do taxes. We use very little paper, unless the client wants a hard copy of their return vs an electronic one. I basically need ONE signature on paper, for our records through the whole process. Anyway, TV isn't "dead" but Hulu, Netflix, etc have changed how people watch TV by and large.

You require a signature on paper? I do my taxes online using TurboTax. I have never had to sign anything on paper doing my taxes that way.

when you read that he does taxes, and has clients, what was your first thought here

What's your point? Clients can digitally sign.

when you also read that it was for physical records, what then was your thought there

He never actually said physical records. He just said "our records."

Digital records are actually safer than physical records since digital can be backed up on different servers and off-site servers. Specifically requiring a physical record is a bit odd in this day, and that's why I brought it up in the first place.
