My office is about 90% paperless (we do have to print out stuff for interviews, reviews, and notes), and even that 10% COULD be done digitally if more people were on board with it. Also, with the signature thing, most places are saying that a written signature is LESS secure then say a digital one. Now if I am "signing" something it is usually using my phone's authenticator or a site like this:
