These are devious because some people see the slash as a division marker in a single-line equation, while others see it as representing a fraction with 6 on top and both the factors 2 and (1+2) on the bottom. Different calculators may also determine the input differently based on default or custom settings.

The op isnt even an equation without the = sign, so as far as we know, its just simplifying.

Is 2/3 a request to divide 2 by 3, or claiming two-thirds? Who knows!
