So it's not even a beer gut necessarily, just meat thrown on a somewhat well-muscled guy.

I remember The Fabulous Moolah talked about Stone Cold Steve Austin and if you remember him, he was pretty close to a dad bod. He was muscular, but didn't really have abs, and there were small love handles. She said back in her day, they called it a "natural body"; someone who wrestled and spent some time working out, but was also eating in diners most nights.
