people in the US are getting fat because of the high fructose corn syrup, artificial food coloring and food oils. trying to lose weight by going very low calorie will make you lose fat, muscle and at the same time damage your liver and thyroid function.


We're not talking about a very low caloric deficit because I've repeatedly implied slight caloric deficit, not starvation mode, but putting that aside

How do you suppose you reverse the obesity of a person without them eating less in some regard? How do you suppose their body can possibly become smaller will maintaining the same amount of energy input and perhaps only a marginal increase in energy output?

Remembering that obesity in itself is a massive health risk, of many times greater a magnitude than marginal thyroid problems
