Hey guys, you aren't getting end of day flavor tonight, that will happen tomorrow along with day 2 flavor. Instead I would like to address a post not in the game and give my thoughts on it. I'm sorry for interrupting, but if Zam is being Modkilled for not "Playing to win," then the hosts view of such is exceedingly narrow. Mafia claiming like that is in fact "playing to win." Mafia is considered a team play, rather the individual play that is town. So him claiming is considered taking one for the team. Sadly, people don't considered it as such. As he pointed out, his treatment in this game was horrible, he was mocked, bullied horribly, then called various forms of stupid (in a lot of cases a few people would moderated for flaming). After seeing this, I wouldn't play here, to many people are full of themselves.

Again sorry for interrupting, however this game has gotten that bad.

I don't know who you are, I don't know if your Alakazam's or someone else's alt, and I don't care. I would just like to state that mafia is not and has never been about fairness or civility. The purpose of this game is to take the life from your fellow players in pursuit of victory. That is never going to be kind. That is rarely going to be gentle. To survive long term in mafia you need thick skin and you need to be able to adapt. Failing to play the game in an intelligent and effective manner and being called into account for this isn't unfair or horrible. It's accurate. We are all held to standards when we step into a game, and in particular Alakazam had just traded on his history of weird perspectives to win as a member of mafia. He more than most doesn't have the right to complain about treatment when he traded on his style of play for victory.

Further though, there is this myth that sometimes gets tossed around that critiquing play is an insult. People who feel this way don't understand and shouldn't play mafia in a community that is competitive. I am not saying there aren't safe harbors of mafia for that type of play, not all mafia is strictly competitive, but when the environment clearly is it is best for the player to realize what they want out of the game and to find it elsewhere. I used to be a very harsh as a player and I saw nothing in this game that warranted even a warning. Everything said about Alakazam was about the game and not said so in cruel fashion, just matter of fact.

So I am announcing that Alakazamtrainer and this community are going to have a mutual parting of ways after this post. It is for the best. I have no problems with you on a personal level, but your participation in this mafia community has not panned out as either of us would have desired.

Finally, my definitions of playing to win are perfectly fair. With information not wildly available to the public I feel very comfortable with putting the game into twilight phase early as I did. Given how you, Crystal_pony, do not seem to have a firm grasp on the English language and yet you make accusations against my players as if you know anything, perhaps you should look inward to your own world views to make yourself happy before poking your nose into a topic that does not concern you in the slightest and where your ignorance of the game of mafia shines brightly like a beacon. Apology for posting in my topic when you are not an active participant NOT accepted, by the way. It's out of line and I for one wouldn't want you here if that is how you choose to display your respect for the rules of mafia.

I know this may have been a waste of my time, but I don't care. Now with that said...
