Most of the people who work with me are either retirees or semi-retired and American citizens who don't care if they get promoted or not which is fine since the only promotion you can get from my job is lateral. I wouldn't recommend my job to someone in their twenties since it has no future and no chance for advancement whatsoever. Most of the jobs these 'illegals' as people call them take are jobs that have no future, lousy hours, rotten pay and no benefits; if you think that, with 'illegals' gone, corporations will have to raise wages and such, you have another think coming. All the corporations will do is export any and all good paying jobs overseas. The only jobs left in the US will be the crappy jobs that can't be exported and they still won't offer any benefits or better pay because nobody cares, not the government, not the unions, nobody. ...
