They refuse to acknowledge automation and less easily accessible deposits. Even state level democrats run on this platform. Federal democrats coming in and talking about retraining get seen as condescending. The farmers don't really have this kind of justification. They are being hurt directly to a policy that can't be attributed to any other source.
