I dont even like Goku, but its weird to say he wouldnt fit just because hes an anime character. They started as games first, but the Pokemon and Fire Emblem characters have anime all over them. Sonic never seemed like he would really fit to me. Snakes from an entirely different genre and nobody in the Smash series looks more out of place than Game & Watch. Goku would be one of the least weird non-Nintendo series picks they could make

I don't think the argument against Goku has anything to do with his appearance. Aesthetically, he would certainly fit right in just like Cloud did...which is weird that anyone thinks he didn't. He literally looks like a random Fire Emblem character or something.

But Goku didn't originate from a game. You know who else has been in dozens of games? Batman.

Doesn't mean he should be in Smash. I still think the series should stay true to itself as a celebration of video game characters and only video game characters. The Goku thing is getting really old at this point. If they actually did end up putting him in, I wouldn't really care. I wouldn't like, refuse to buy the game or throw a big fit or anything, but it would just be kind of dumb and feel soulless to me.
