This is the problem with shows like this though. The fans ALWAYS come back and say "no trust me man, it gets better in S2". So you watch 25 more episodes and... it's still basically the same. And then they say "no really S3 is where it gets good!!" etc etc. Exact thing happened with JoJo part 3. It's the most basic disappointing carrot on the stick ever. OPM has 12 episodes. JoJo part 1 has 9 episodes, part 2 like 15. The amount of development in those series is massive. There is no excuse for having 13 episodes of static, let alone 50 episodes (though at least JoJo part 3 wasn't basic, just insanely repetitive). The fact is, this is just not that kind of show. It's not made to have character development or any kind of depth, and people don't watch it for that. But this show is weird in that it tries so hard to pretend it's deeper. That's probably what people mean by "taking itself seriously" even though the show itself is silly. It's like getting a salad at mcdonald's. --- _foolmo_ 2 + 2 = 4 ... Copied to Clipboard! |
