Wasnt there a guy on here remarking he was working the ER, feeling burnt out, and bumping people down for what he percieved as minor discomforts?

That's kind of disingenuous. I remember that poster and they clearly mentioned it was a patient with a documented history of going to the ED for the same type of symptoms with a documented history of the same.

Even a burnt out provider will see view headaches as potentially deadly and work them up with the proper diligence (depending on history and findings). It's the repeated visits for previously diagnosed benign conditions that are much better managed with regular outpatient follow up than ED visits every time it gets bad enough.

Those are two entirely different pictures and your discontent with their expression of burn-out is largely the problem of why clinicians are so burned out in the first place. They're expected to be super humans with no emotions who work without rest. We're expected to not have our own humanity and it's clearly evidenced by the fact that they merely expressed an emotion that didn't necessarily reflect the quality of the care still provided and CE still shit on them.
