This however doesnt refute Bernie Sanders did indeed praise Venezuela, in fact, he literally said the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina. That seems like praise if Venezuela to me at least, just because someone praises something doesnt mean they fully endorse it though.
