Amazon's stock was getting too big for them anyway. Plus it's so overvalued I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped considerably in the next couple of years. Aren't they on a purchasing program or is that outside of their gross pay?

The main argument in the article is that Bernie doesnt ideologically endorse the Venezuelan or Cuban model of socialism, but more like Swedens or Denmarks model. This however doesnt refute Bernie Sanders did indeed praise Venezuela, in fact, he literally said the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina. That seems like praise if Venezuela to me at least, just because someone praises something doesnt mean they fully endorse it though. --- I don't know my gimmick "Does that sound reasonable to you?" ... Also worth noting that this raise only applies to full-time employees, and not the many contractors and other "non-employee" categories that make up Amazon's workforce.

Its not a few bucks here or there; its HUGE. One employee, making $2 more an hour, will cost about $4000 a year. Multiply that by a number of employees. The cost is enormous.
