Arming people with knowledge doesn't really seem to help, though. They already know that the food they're eating is unhealthy, they just don't care.

Like, you could literally have a black box warning right on the front that a certain food has the potential to cause sudden death and people would still eat it if it tasted good.

Edit: It is pretty disgusting just how much sugar is in everything though, even stuff that sugar has no business being in. Unfortunately, it's like everything else where lobbyists have the government and so-called "protection" agencies in their pocket so they're allowed free reign over the general populace and can fuck over our health and our planet however they see fit.

This isn't true for everybody though, even if it's true for a lot, as smoking has shown. Tc's point about granola for example is true, granola bars have even more sugar than chocolate sometimes and yet people think they're healthy. Same with breakfast cereals.

So educating the population about stuff like that will get at least some healthy conscious, even if it's not everyone.
