| Herugrim 10/14/18 1:04:02 PM #41: | Everybody ignoring the real problem as usual. For 3 dollars you can get two donuts and a giant soda with change left over. Isn't enough money for a salad or a fruit. The reason people eat fast food is because it's cheap. There have been times when I have been digging between the couch cushions for money for food because my bank account ran out of money while I was paying bills. I'd much rather use that money for a bag of grapes and some natural juice, but the best I can do is soda and donuts. Organic and healthy food is expensive. Processed food is not. Naturally when the vast majority of the country aren't even making enough money to afford a living, they don't have the money to shell out for healthy food. Average cost of living in the US is 50k/year, average working class citizen is lucky to break 20k with a full time job. --- John Watson: "Well it isn't obvious to me."
