People have already basically said this, but those numbers basically mean she has an ancestor from within the last 100 years or so.

I mean seriously her relative could still be alive if she was 1/32nd, easily, and possibly if she was 1/64th.

Considering the fact she didn't just bring out her relative and say SEE, it means she was basing her ancestry on someone that was no longer alive, and would automatically mean it was probably going to be less then 1/64th anyway.

Next gen after that is 1/128 then 1/256, 1/512 and finally 1/1024

Now, I highly doubt she comes from a family that generally had kids by 13 (but th ey certainly exist...I had a friend who's sister had a kid at 13, her mother had her at 13, and her grandmother had her mother at 13....so her grandmother was a great grandmother before she was 40)....that is another story though.

Point is that it's quite possible 9 generations back isn't actually that far (145 years or so). Which would be the max according to her DNA testing. If nothing else her Grandmother would have probably been alive at the same time as her ancestor with at least 1/2 NA blood.
