This is something I'd really, really have to think over; on one hand, it's $1,000,000,000... and my conscious life is unaffected... and the vast majority of my dreams - even since early childhood - have been borderline nightmare at best... so I'm reasonably resilient. On the other hand, having this be an irreversible constant - even if you're drunk - could have an irreversible effect on one's mental health. Having regular nightmares over a long period of time is one thing... having thematically-similar nightmares every single time you fall asleep is another. All-in-all... this is probably a pass, for me.
