Topic	Was anyone really surprised in FF7 about (whole series spoilers)
DarkTransient 10/22/18 5:32:45 PM #2:	The one thing you're overlooking: For a lot of people, FF7 was their first FF, and possibly first JRPG outright. Even for those it weren't, unless they were latecomers to the series as a whole, they likely only played I, IV and VI. And Leo wasn't a major character in the same sense as Aeris was, leaving only IV, and one game hardly makes a pattern.
