It's easy to say "just find someone else", but you don't really know how messed up you would be in that situation until you go through it imo. Imagine sharing your life with someone and giving your all for maybe ten years or so (OP says guy was 30) and that's all you knew. You work and take care of her and don't even really think of any other woman. Then you find out she was cheating and your entire world is suddenly turned upside down, nothing makes sense anymore. It's like the ultimate betrayal.

Still not worth ending your life over, but someone in that situation wouldn't be thinking rationally about it anyway. In their mind their life is already over.
