It was a valve on the front hose spicket. But the spicket is covered by a bush, so we couldnt see it whatsoever.

No leak or anything in the house obviously, so no warning signs of what was going on. Thankfully the water dept told us when they did.


I'd be a little concerned about the foundation or your sump pump at this point. Just because it didn't leak in, doesn't mean it can't pool up outside underground.

If your basement is unfinished, check for any efflorescence on the concrete over the next few weeks.
