Mario Odyssey was legitimately some of the most fun I've ever had with a game. Other than that, Xenoblade 2 is great, BotW's great (though available on WiiU, if that's an option for you), Mario x Rabbids is a pretty good time, Snipperclips is a delightful little co-op game (easy to get into and fun to spectate, so good for parties), and Monster Hunter GU is excellent if you're an MH fan (or if you aren't yet but are interested; MH just isn't a series for everyone).

As for whether or not it's worth it, I passed the $1/hour of play time mark quite some time ago (pretty sure I've done that with just Xenoblade and MH, and I haven't even bought the DLC for Xenoblade yet). I don't know how much value you place in that metric, since the "length=value" thing is pretty questionable in a lot of ways, but that's all I can really contribute to answering that question.
