As an actor, Nathan Fillion has actually come more and more into his own as he's aged. Firefly suffers from its short length and desire to create an ensemble piece. With more time, I feel like I could have really dug into the meat of Reynolds and found something I really, really liked. However, he is a little too grounded in the necessary tropes of science fiction writing that he doesn't reach those upper echelons of grand spacefaring heroes. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
