| ThyCorndog 12/31/18 10:05:52 AM #20: | connections but the others are all important too. it's just that connections are the most powerful thing on their own out of all of those. you have kids or friends or relatives of successful people who are given positions they should not have, without having to put any effort in whatsoever. you have people like former president dubya bush who went to yale and became president just because he had connections. he wasn't exceptionally smart, determined or ambitious. he was just born into the right family if you're not born into wealth or otherwise don't have that level of network, then I'd say ambitious and especially determination are next after connections --- ...
