The animation in episode 1 is bad, but it gets better. Garo has some decent fights. It's certainly not unwatchable. Dragon Ball Super was hugely popular despite being cardboard and repeated frames. I don't think the direction in OPM Season 2 is as good as DBS, but certainly the animation is up to par compared to other contemporary anime. We must not be watching the same thing because it gets worse and worse. On top of the moving mouth thing, they completely butchered Metal Bat vs Garou.
