It justifies looking into why he was there, and how we can either prevent the entry of or quickly deport similar illegal aliens in the future.

Id be more than happy to redirect funds spent on stupid ME conflicts, welfare for Israel, and foreign bases to border security and enforcement.


But isn't this and border security (from all the data we've seen) still small data points in a much larger problem (murder/drug importation/etc)? Isn't it more important to be efficient in spending resources, rather than "legislate from isolated examples"?


The government spends plenty of money of things that are either counterproductive, or help regular Americans less than border security. The items I listed are all good examples. Given that fact, its interesting to see people suddenly turn into spending hawks at the idea of redirecting funds towards border security.

I think we could reduce drug related problems by ending the war on drugs, which would save a lot of money.
