Wait and get one after summer, used, from someone on facebook marketplace (safer then Craigslist).

People move all the time and don't want to bring theirs with them and during the non-summer months the cost is very low. A AC that would cost you $150-200 can be gotten for $50 if you wait, heck some people just give them away.

I gave mine away at the start of this summer to someone with doggos who were overheating. I didn't really need it in the apartment/room I was renting. Now i'm moving to a basement though, and I don't know if I'll need one there. Still feel better about giving mine away so someone could use it for their dogs over just wasting it all summer here (Although I have had a hard time sleeping a few times).

Anyway even if you get one now, check out facebook marketplace you can often get good deals even in summer.
