Dailymail has learned that lawyers for 67 y/o Wesley Ira Purkey have opend up multiple last ditch efforts in a bid to spare their client's life on federal death row by asking for DONALD TRUMP FOR CLEMENCY as they describe the president as a "reasonable" man who has the foresight to understand her client did not get the mental help he needed

He is set to be put to death on December 13, 2019 for the rape, murder and DISMEMBERMENT of 16 y/o Jennifer Long in his Kansas home in 1998 and was also convicted of beating 80 y/o Mary Bales to death with a HAMMER!!

AG Bill Barr announced that the federal gov't would resume executions for the first time since 2003, setting Purkey and 4 others on death row to die as Barr called them "the worst criminals"

But Rebecca Woodman told dailymail that Mr. Purkey is not the 'worst of the worst' of the bunch and said he grew up in a house of horrors, beaten and humiliated by his parents and subjected to extensive and ongoing sexual abuse by members of his family. She also said he was demeaned and brutalized by Catholic nuns and repeatedly MOLESTED by priests and had jurors heard this information, at least one would have voted for life

They are now filing a stay of execution arguing his lawyer failed to mention these including being sexually abused by his mother where she taught him to perform ORAL SEX..ON HER..at 10 YEARS OLD!!

His father also paid for prostitutes to fondle and touch him when he was 12 and his grandmother would parade him around the house NAKED as he was also sexually abused by his priest

His childhood lead him down a road of alcohol and drugs and crime and they are urging Trump to commute his sentence without the possibility of parole and cited his mental health diagnosis and remorse.

They wrote "He has not forgiven himself and so he cannot ask for forgiveness from you or your office. He asks only for your intervention, which would simply permit him to die in prison at his late stage in his life."

On the day of the murder in 1988, Purkey drove to Missouri for a job interview and smoked half a rock of crack cocaine when he passed 16 y/o Jennifer Long who was walking on the sidewalk. He pulled her over asking if she wanted to go for a "party" but after picking up alcohol,she asked to leave and that's when he grabbed a knife and said she couldn't leave. He took her backhome where he raped her and murdered before dismembering her body using a CHAINSAW..

9 months after that murder, he was employed by a plumbing company where he met Mary Bales. She would pay him extra money as "under the table" payment but when he bought a prostitute, he needed more money for the sex and crack...that's when he returned to Mary's home and murdered her using a claw hammer.

In 2003, a jury found him guilty of the murders and was sentenced to death and has been on death row until now.

4 other men, 46 y/o Daniel Lewis Lee, 37 y/o Lezmond Charles Mitchell, 55 y/o Alfried Bourgeois and 51 y/o Dustin Lee Honken are scheduled to be executed in December and January

The mother of the teen victim, Glenda Lamont says she's overjoyed hearing the news of the execution and plans to attend it on December 13 if it moves forward.
