For what the whole series is, which is mostly simple popcorn flicks watched in the theaters, they are fine. I mean, the acting and story has always been not that deep but it's not meant to be imo. The first 3 yes, are the best of the series and E1 and E2 were absolutely a drag to get through, but E3 and all the most recent ones have been just like, your standard "shut your brain off and watch a space opera" style of movies to me, which are fine. I'm not going into these films expecting some acting or writing masterpiece.
