Did you figure it out? The explanation Hiei posted was good, but I just want to clarify one thing. There isn't a switch called "Sword Obtained" that you need to look for. The switches don't have names by default, you have to label them. So in his example he picked an unnamed switch and labeled it that, which makes sense. In your case I'd go with something like "Got Potion" but you can name it whatever you want. After you turn on your switch after giving the player the potion, create a new page. Under conditions, you'll see Switch. Select your switch and then you can go from there. Something like a message saying "The jar is empty." might be good.
