I don't get this story. Was she convicted of murder because she didn't actually think it was her apartment, or because she didn't follow SOP when she thought there was an intruder? And if she knew it wasn't her apartment, what was she even doing there?
She legitimately thought that it was her apartment.

She was convicted because she acted extremely brash and reckless and it ended up with the death of a man. There were many other options she could have chosen beyond waltzing in and eliminating the "threat".

Yup. The prosecution brought up a point yesterday I hadn't even considered: Even if it WAS her apartment, it could have been a maintenance person in the apartment.
