for years ive seen reddit complaining about people telling stories on food recipe pages, but in all my years of looking at recipes online i've never seen it even once. what's it even look/read like in action

I looked up a recipe for a specific type of sandwich once and I ended up reading an entire article about how the author first found out about the sandwich, the history of that sandwich and how it changed when it was brought to America, his trip to another country to try out the tradtional version, and how he appreciates the original version of the sandwich and the Americanized version. Then at the bottom of all that he finally wrote out 2 recipes for the sandwich lol
