Topic	In LoTR: RoTK, how come that guy didn't want help? [SPOILERS]

He was a dick, and always a dick apparently, in the book, but the movie makes him cartoonishly evil-like with stuff like him eating that drum stick with the blood coming out. He did Wormtounge the same way. Like seriously, who would trust a guy who looks and acts like that?
